A Eurasian rainfall map I created was featured in a Washington Post story by Lee Powell (and YouTube video) discussing economic fallout and the wheat supply chain. The map was initially the outcome of a collaborative effort with Dr. Susanne Wengle and Raushan Zhandayeva. My goal was to examine the precipitation patterns/trends across the “Black Earth Belt” region (Kazakhstan, Russia, and Ukraine). This map (along with others in the series) can be accessed on my “Black Earth Belt Rainfall” OSF page: https://doi.org/10.17605/OSF.IO/9SJGF.
